You can definitely learn French with podcasts! But there are many French podcasts to learn French on the internet, it can be challenging for you to choose. To give you some ideas, I compiled three podcasts containing one from an institution, one a bit more original and another one from a language learning App!

Why learn French with podcasts?

You can learn French with podcasts to improve significantly your listening comprehension. Imagine, what the technology can bring us today! You can listen to French from your sofa, in your car while going to work or even when doing shopping. convenience

I highly recommend you to listen to my podcasts, from a French native speaker. Compared to others you can find online, I focus on beginners by enunciating and talking very slowly. I really want my learners to have THE content that will be useful for them. I create podcasts from everyone daily life such as going in a cafe, in a hotel, to the bank and many more. I see too many unsuitable podcasts for beginners online about complex subject and spoken with a normal speed. I want you to enjoy and have fun while listening and not be bored! That’s why I provide enthusiastic podcasts. I want you to feel that you have learnt something at the end of a podcast.

In a previous article, I talked about the “benefits and compared French learning Apps” such as Memrise and Duolingo, have a look at it!

Best French podcasts

Alliance Française

The Alliance Française is an associative network implemented everywhere in the world, in 133 countries. It was created in 1884. They have a strong authority, a lot of experience, so you can be assured the content is good quality. Here is podcasts from Alliance Française in Bristol.

I have discovered this very original website, it offers a list of podcasts for different themes. I want to warn you, that it is spoken pretty quickly and there is no transcript. So it can be quite challenging for beginners, but do not be scared, please have a try! Even if you do not understand anything, it is good to have an idea of how it sounds like.

The French podcasts from the category “La famille cuisine” are only a few minutes long. You also have “Manger” with a list of interesting podcasts.

You can find here a collection of podcasts about cuisine, of course ! 😉 But, be curious and look for other subjects on this website.

French Podcasts from Duolingo

Duolingo has a variety of podcasts online, you can find them by clicking here. Duolingo is a very famous language learning App, so you can be sure that it will be adapted to learners. Also, there is the transcript, so “jète un oeil” (literal translation “through an eye” that’s mean “take a look” in English).

As a little welcome gift, I decided to give you below one podcast to have an idea, but there will be more coming soon! So stay tuned and keep checking for updates…
